FAQ

Where does the name come from?
The title metadata is used first. When it is empty the tool falls back to the first non-empty line of text on page one.
Can I rename in bulk?
Yes. Upload up to 20 files at a time. Suggested names are generated one by one and you can download all renamed copies at once.
Are illegal characters handled?
Yes. Characters such as \ / : * ? " < > | are replaced with a safe separator, and leading or trailing spaces are trimmed.
Can I add a date prefix?
Yes. Tick the option to prefix the document creation date or today, in YYYYMMDD or YYYY-MM-DD format.
Will the original names be overwritten?
No. The tool only produces renamed copies, so the files on your disk are never moved or deleted.
